What if you could actually see your pain decrease? What if that back pain could be seen decreasing following a chiropractic spinal adjustment? In a recent article published in the Journal of Manipulative and Physiological Therapeutics, researchers were able to view changes in the areas of the brain that process and modulate pain. They were able to see, measure and record these changes using functional MRI immediately following chiropractic spinal manipulation, as well as spinal mobilization and therapeutic touch. All three of these treatments for low back pain offered an immediate effect on the areas of the brain that process and modulate pain. This study, and others like it give us a little more insight as to why so many people reports feeling better following chiropractic manipulation of the spine.
Chiropractic care is a safe, natural, and effective way to reduce and/or eliminate not only back pain, but a whole host of musculoskeletal issues, and help get you back to the life you want to lead.
